Aiming to enhance the facilitation of low-cost laptops to schools, Dell has just announced the Latitude 2100, a Netbook specifically targeted to educational markets. I think its gonna appeal more than the students in the classroom.
The basic components: Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, Windows XP--highlight being the chassis of the Latitude 2100. Its cool funky and designed with young users in mind who want to make their impression. Its has an optional touch screen!
With Dell doing good with its
Mini 10 series, the new Latitude 2100, harbors traditional netbook internals, with kid-friendly perks like colorful lids and a rugged rubberized design, along with options for a carrying handle, shoulder strap, antimicrobial keyboard, touchscreen LCD and a Dell Mobile Computing Station docking cart. The netbook is going to be available with options for Vista, XP or Ubuntu 8.10, and the base configuration retails at $369
Also watch out: - Dell has announced a new netbook, the Inspiron Mini10v, a similar model to the company's previous offering, the Dell Mini 10.
